Tomato Salad Recipe: Try my Tomato & Creamy Avocado Salad!
A truly great tomato salad recipe uses fresh tomatoes which are bursting with flavor. The natural sweetness of the tomato makes it an excellent addition to many healthy salad recipes.
My Tomato & Creamy Avocado Salad is one of my personal favorites. Here I used fresh juicy yellow and red heirloom tomatoes:
This healthy salad recipe is so filling and satisfying, I will have it for dinner all by itself. Get ready for some serious flavor!

Tomato & Creamy Avocado Salad Ingredients:
For the salad, you will need:
- 2 large soft tomatoes, diced
- 4 or 5 stalks of green onion, chopped (green part only)
- 1 head of finely chopped lettuce
For the Creamy Avocado dressing, you’ll need:
- 1 large or 2 medium soft tomatoes, cut into chunks
- Juice of 1/2 lemon (can substitute with juice of 1/4 orange)
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1 large fistful of fresh basil leaves
- Place the finely chopped lettuce into a large bowl:
- Add the diced tomatoes and the chopped green onions:
Next you’ll make the Creamy Avocado dressing. Place all dressing ingredients into a good strong blender and blend until very smooth. This is what it will look like:
Pour the Creamy Avocado dressing into the bowl with the rest of the salad and mix thoroughly. Ready to eat immediately. Enjoy!
