All my simple dessert recipes are made from REAL FOOD: fresh, whole, unprocessed, delicious! You will never see refined or chemicalized ingredients on my site.
Eating healthy means rewarding our bodies with the very best wholesome and nourishing foods. My recipe uses fresh blueberries, which are loaded with antioxidants and have (according to scientists) actual anti-aging properties. Hail to the mighty blueberry!
All of my healthy recipes are 100% natural and completely sugar-free. You don’t need saturated fats and refined sugar to make mouth-watering desserts. No way!

All of these easy to make dessert recipes were made in my home kitchen using only a high-speed blender. That’s all it takes to create delicious and healthy desserts for you and your family!

Quick easy dessert recipes: Fat Free Blueberry Ice Cream:
You will need:
- One large handful of fresh blueberries (see picture above)
- 4 frozen bananas* (Simply peel the bananas and pop them in your freezer before you go to bed at night. When you wake up, they’ll be ready for you).
*For maximum flavor, make sure your bananas are fully ripe before you freeze them! Never use unripe bananas in your recipes. They should have plenty of brown spots, like this:
- Remove the frozen bananas from the freezer about 30 minutes before preparation, in order to slightly soften them.
- Place the fresh blueberries into your Vita-mix or other high-speed blender and blend until smooth. DO NOT ADD WATER!!!
- Add the frozen bananas and blend until smooth. You may have to stop the blender a couple of times and stir the mixture if it becomes stuck in the blades.
Once it reaches a very creamy and smooth consistency, it’s ready to eat!

You can enjoy them for breakfast, in the afternoon lull in place of junk food, or as an after dinner treat when you feel a sweets craving coming on.
My personal favorite time is after dinner! 🙂 This helps me avoid having cravings for cake and cookies.

I cannot more highly recommend the Vita-mix blender. It’s an investment of money, but I can honestly say it’s worth every penny. Finally giving up those cheap blenders and getting a Vita-mix professional blender was, for me, like getting out of a twenty year old pickup truck and sliding behind the wheel of a BMW! One of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
