Healthy easy recipes: Try my Strawberry Macadamia “Faux” Yogurt!
My healthy easy recipes can be made in minutes in your home kitchen, like my Strawberry Macadmia Faux Yogurt. Bursting with flavor, it has only the simplest of ingredients and can be made by anyone with a good blender.
Like many people, pasteurized dairy products don’t agree with me and don’t make me feel good when I eat them. I created this tasty dish as an alternative to yogurt. I call it my “Faux” Yogurt or “Faux-gurt.” 🙂

To me, the key factor in whether a recipe is really good for you is how it makes you feel after you eat it. Do you feel sluggish and tired? Or energized and happy? This is so important if you want to be a truly healthy eater.

Healthy easy Recipes: Strawberry Macadamia Faux Yogurt:
- 1 cup frozen unsweetened strawberries
- 1 cup raw macadamia nuts
- 1/4 cup (or less) water
- Place the water and the raw macadamia nuts into your high-speed powerful blender and blend until smooth.
- Add the frozen unsweetened strawberries and blend again until very smooth and creamy. You may have to stop the blender a couple of times and stir the mixture if it becomes stuck in the blades.
Ready to eat immediately! Will keep for several days.
This is a great recipe for any time of day. My personal recommendation is to try it for breakfast. It also makes an excellent afternoon snack.
TIP: Strawberry Macadamia Faux Yogurt will keep for several days. Store it in some tupperware and take it to work with you. Your coworkers will ooooohhhh and ahhhhh!
MOM ALERT!: Serve this to your kids as an after-school snack. I promise you they won’t miss the junk food!
ANOTHER TIP: Try Strawberry Macadamia Faux Yogurt as a dip. Cut up apple slices and dip them into it. So yummy!

I cannot more highly recommend the Vita-mix blender. It’s an investment of money, but I can honestly say it’s worth every penny. Finally giving up those cheap blenders and getting a Vita-mix professional blender was, for me, like getting out of a twenty year old pickup truck and sliding behind the wheel of a BMW! One of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
