Healthy Breakfast Foods: Try my Mango Orange Breakfast of the Gods!
Who knew healthy breakfast foods could be so delicious? This is the kind of breakfast I imagine they enjoy in heaven. It’s downright divine! You’ll be pinching yourself when you see how easy this mango recipe is to make.
If you’re looking for healthy breakfast foods, I highly recommend fresh, ripe fruit.
My easy mango recipe will tantalize your taste buds AND give you tons of energy to start your day!
Healthy breakfast foods: Mango recipe ingredients:
You will need:
- 2 mangoes (cut into bite-size pieces – see picture above)
- 1 1/2 cups of freshly squeezed orange juice* (equivalent to the juice of 4 oranges)
**I squeeze my own orange juice using a cheap electric citrus juicer from the kitchen supply store. It cost me $14 and I use it all the time! I strongly recommend getting in the habit of squeezing your own orange juice. It takes no time at all and it’s MUCH tastier!
Juice loses most or all of its nutrients within 15 minutes of juicing! This is why fresh juice you make yourself is so important. NEVER use pasteurized juice from a carton or bottle! Fresh is always best!
- Squeeze the juice from four oranges using a citrus juicer
- Pour orange juice over the sliced mango chunks.
That’s it! Grab a spoon and enjoy!
TIP: In the summer months, this recipe becomes REALLY over-the-top delicious if you add freshly sliced nectarine!
This is a wonderful treat you can enjoy on a warm spring morning when mangoes come into season, or on a rainy, dreary day when your spirits need lifting by some bright colorful fruit!
