Agave nectar recipes: Ingredients for Toast & Jam Reimagined:
- 1 slice toasted Ezekiel bread*
- 1/2 tbsp raw agave nectar* or raw honey
- 1 tbsp raw unsalted almond butter (This is a wonderful healthier alternative to peanut butter. It can be found in many grocery stores and all health food stores).
Toast bread and smear with a layer of raw almond butter and then a layer of raw agave nectar or raw honey. Enjoy!

It’s kept in the freezer section to prevent spoilage.Frankenfoods with a long shelf life are not foods you want in your body. If you can’t pronounce some of the ingredients in a store-bought loaf of bread, or if it’s got more than 15 ingredients, don’t buy it!
Bonus: Ezekiel bread only has 80 calories per slice. Simply pop it in your toaster and it’ll be ready in minutes! It is a perfect addition to many easy healthy recipes.

Raw agave nectar is a natural, unrefined sweetener that can be used anywhere you would normally use white sugar.
Raw agave is pulled from the agave plant of Mexico. It’s absolutely nectar-like and is actually sweeter than refined sugar, but it doesn’t spike your blood sugar. Because it is raw and unrefined, all of its nutrients and enzymes are intact.
Health nuts the world over have embraced raw agave for its healthful properties. It reminds me of a cross between maple syrup and honey. Just be sure you buy the raw kind, which is a dark amber color. It should clearly say RAW on the label !
